Stuart Alexander, known as "the Sausage King," owned the Santos Linguisa Factory in San Leandro, California. In 2000, he murdered three USDA meat inspectors who were conducting a compliance check at his factory.. While Alexander's case is extreme, in this episode of Capital Crimes we will use this case to explore the broader dangers faced by inspectors in the meat industry, and the ways in which meat factories endanger their workers and consumers.
